To be considered an “READY GRADUATE” by the state of TN, a student must complete one of the following by graduation:

  1. Score a 21 or higher composite on the ACT (or SAT equivalent)
  2. Complete four (4) Early Post-Secondary Opportunities (EPSOs)
  3. Complete two (2) EPSOs + earn an industry certification (in an approved CTE program of study, EPSOs may be general education and/or included in a CTE program of study).
  4. Complete two (2) EPSOs + score 31 or above on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB).

ACCTC currently offers multiple opportunities to earn EPSOs through Dual Enrollment.

Dual Enrollment is a program that allows high school students to enroll in college courses for credit prior to high school graduation. Dual Enrollment courses are taken off campus at a post-secondary institution, online with a post-secondary institution or on campus at ACCTC.

ACCTC offers dual enrollment courses through Roane State Community College, TCAT-Knoxville, and Tennessee Tech University. Dual Enrollment sign-ups and informational meetings are every Fall & Spring semester.

ACCTC currently offers Dual Enrollment opportunities in these disciplines: Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Cyber Security, Industrial Maintenance, Machine Tool Technology, Mechatronics, Power Line Construction and Maintenance, Programming, and Welding.

Students can earn industry certifications in the following: Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), American Welding Society (AWS), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) CompTIA ITF+, Microsoft Office Suite (MOS), OSHA-10, ServSafe, Snap-On Precision Measurement Instrument (PMI) Certification and Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA Part 107)
